This initial Undeniable Mind phase sets the tone for the rest of the journey, where team members explore the facts of their current reality—what works, what doesn't, and what truly matters. By confronting these facts and so-called ‘dissatisfiers’, the team can begin to envision new possibilities. Vision, then, is a natural outcome of facing the facts, and only when it’s based on facts will it become truly reliable.
The program emphasises the importance of identifying ‘dissatisfiers’, not at the behavioural level but at the root causes. This deep dive allows the team to explore their dynamics from multiple angles: upward (leadership alignment), downward (team and individual responsibilities), sideward (cross-functional collaboration), outward (customer and stakeholder engagement), and inward (internal team relationships). It’s about understanding what doesn’t work before envisioning and committing to what will.
Rather than jumping straight to aspirations and so-called ‘delighters’ , we ensure that ‘dissatisfiers’ are addressed first. If not, these underlying issues will hinder any progress, no matter how well-intentioned. As each individual gains clarity and wakes up to their own needs and beliefs driving their behaviour, the team collectively aligns.
